Honoured with the Best Origination Award at the International Optical Technologies Association (IOTA) Excellence in Optical Technologies Awards 2025

We are incredibly proud to share that our team has been awarded Best Origination at the International Optical Technologies Association (IOTA) Awards, the world’s leading stage for innovation in optical and digital document security.

Our winning project, The St. George Icon, blends centuries-old spiritual heritage with cutting-edge holographic technology. Inspired by the miraculous Phanuel Icon of St. George the Victorious – the sacred treasure of the Bulgarian Zograf Monastery – we set out to create a truly exceptional work of art and technology.

Through advanced holographic techniques, our team meticulously recreated the sacred image with breathtaking precision, achieving a lifelike three-dimensional effect that brings the icon to life in a completely new way.
This project was a unique opportunity to merge tradition and innovation, paying tribute to centuries of spiritual heritage while showcasing what is possible when art and technology meet at the highest level.

Excellence in Holography Awards 2016

IHMA awards for Innovation in Holographic Technology and Best Origination

On 28-30th of Novermber was held the annual conference of International Hologram Manufacturers Association (IHMA) in Warsaw for companies all around the world to show off their products and discuss various topics about the industry.

During this time, the association also holds the annual awards in 5 different categories. Demax Holograms participated for the first time in this competition in the 2 most important categories: Innovation in Holographic Technology and Best Origination. We won both of them, which was an amazing achievement for us.

“Egyptian Fantasy”

The Nano-Optical Element is developed by Electron-Beam holographic technology and its resolution is 15 nm. The item combines a number of innovative techniques including 2D pastel colors of the background sub-wavelength structures through which created the black color of the characters, achromatic 3D sculptural effect and others
