Sewn-in Holographic Laminate into Passport Booklet
The goal of Demax-Holograms protective holographic security laminate is to protect the data and the photo on the passport’s data page against counterfeiting. The security overlay is sewn in a passport blank on its production and laminated on top of data page after personalization. It is allowing the information is kept legible and its authenticity can be controlled in a simple and effective way. The overlay is transparent and does not interfere with reading personal data and machine readable code. |

The design of the overlay is as follows: Developed in house and benefiting from bespoke formulation, the thin film solution is designed to reproduce complex optical structures and provide superior adhesion to the substance. The Laminate disintegrates under any attempt to remove it making data alteration and laminate reuse impossible. The thickness of overlay after lamination on the data page is about 8 – 10 microns. |

The chemical and mechanical resistance of the overlay corresponds to the method described in ISO 18745 1 with the reagents specified in ISO 10373 1. The Holographic Security Overlay tested in ICUBE an independent and accredited laboratory located in France, according ISO/IEC 18745 1 (Durability tests for passport books). The lamination temperature for the overlay is 120 ± 5 C |
